Writing * Editing * Consulting

WELCOME!
My name is Amy Rogers Nazarov. I am a writer and editor with almost 20
years of experience reporting, writing, and editing stories for a wide
range of consumer and trade magazines and newspapers, as well as
corporate, federal and non-profit clients.
I grew up on the Southeastern Connecticut shoreline, and have lived and
worked in New York, Chicago and San Francisco. Since 1998, I've lived
in Washington, D.C., where I am inspired in my writing by the rich
history at every turn. It's underfoot on these streets where women were
jailed protesting their lack of voting rights, where the assassination
of Martin Luther King Jr. was met with fury and flames, and where
stately processions mark eras' endings or beginnings. It's overhead in
soaring monuments to quintessentially American people and ideas, from
the stirring words of the Gettysburg Address carved in limestone, to
Thomas Crawford's Statue of Freedom surveying the city from her perch
atop the U.S. Capitol. (Incidentally, all the photos on this site were
taken on Capitol Hill.)
History is also being made every day by the people who come to
Washington to work and live, to follow their dreams of city life or to
shape the country's future. I've never lived anywhere with a more
fascinating complement of friends, colleagues and neighbors, whose
pursuits and talents feed my work in countless ways.
I look forward to the opportunity to discuss with you how I may help
you unlock the power of words to better convey your message.
Sincerely,
Amy Rogers Nazarov
